A Note From The
Harris County Clerk
Every county officer and employee as defined by
Chapter 159 of the Local Government Code must file an annual Personal Financial Statement (PFS).
The PFS must be filed by April 30th of each year with the Harris County Clerk’s Communications and Voter Outreach Division at 1001 Preston, 4th Floor, Room. 426.
The County Clerk office is responsible for mailing two copies of the Personal Financial Statement form to the members of the County Commissioner Court, the County Attorney and Justices of the Peace.
As a courtesy, the Clerk’s office provides officeholders required to file with the local filing authority the forms by electronic mail.
It is important to remember that all candidates running for election, including unopposed candidates, must also file a PFS prior to the primary election.
To ensure timely compliance, all persons required to file a PFS should review the Secretary of State’s Filing Schedule for deadlines.
